1．  Introduction of the database

This database is developed by our library .  It contains several contents hereinafter:

(1)degree dissertation

(2)the articles of our university’s teacher embodied by SCI

(3)AIAA reports

2．How to enter the database

   there are two ways .

(1)you can go into the library’s homepage, then click this database

(2)you can write http://en.buaa.findplus.cn directly

3．  How to use the database

When you go into the database, you’ll find there is a navigation tree on your left. First you should choose a database you want, then you can begin to search.. We have two ways to search.

   (1)basic search

You can input some words in the easel on the outline page, then choose “AND”,”OR”

 making up the query you want , finally, click the “SEARCH” button.

If you want to search again among the search result, you can mark the search result, and

repeat the process upside.

  (2)expand search

There is a “expand search” button on the outline page, just click it, then input word in

every fields you want, choose “AND”,”OR” relation, click the “SEARCH” button to begin

your search.

It’s the same way as basic search to search among the search result.

  (3)a couple of explanation

¨          When there are special characters like “-“ in the words you input, you’d better add “\”

before these characters. Replacing these characters with “?” is another way.

¨          You can use “%” to cut off the words you input
